Bio:
Shayna found her purpose early on – to help children find theirs. As a compassionate, patient, and easygoing caregiver, Shayna is passionate about helping the next generation discover and nurture their strengths and talents, through her strengths as a special needs nanny and multiples specialist. She is also First Aid, CPR, and AED Certified.
Born and raised in Maui, Shayna relocated to Arizona for some time before returning home to complete her last semester as a student at Grand Canyon University. She is currently in the final phases of her undergraduate program in Student Teaching, and wishes to complete the journey while teaching and connecting with the students in her community.
Shayna has already racked in plenty of experience over the years, including time as a volunteer at Camp Imua – an overnight summer camp catering to children with special needs. She has also worked with autistic children as a teacher’s assistant, helping youngsters hone their skills and talents for lifelong use beyond the classroom.
When she’s not helping children grow and thrive, Shayna can be found on the beach, hiking through nature, or travelling the world to explore different places and cultures.
