Bio:
This Colorado-born member of the 808Nanny family has been passionate about children for as long as she can remember. Her first experience with childcare was when her mother gave birth to her baby brother when Monique was 9 years old, and her role as “second mother” sparked a fire in Monique’s heart. She knew what she wanted to do with her life.
After relocating to Denver at age 10, Monique started babysitting her neighbors’ children. Her passion for childcare branched out into an interest in healthcare, and Monique went onto earn her BS in Integrative Medicine. It was through combining her knowledge of health and wellness with her love for babies that she found her niche and calling – newborn and infant care – in 2011.
Monique has worked with single- and multiple-baby families, as well as premature newborns. She has experience in managing and improving the symptoms of colic, reflux, silent reflux, and food sensitivities. She is also an expert in bottle, sleep, and crib training, swaddling, and scheduling, arming Monique with an arsenal of inside secrets on the challenging transition into parenthood!
Monique has studied various aspects of newborn/infant development, including Mind, Brain, and Behavior through CSU, and Newborn Care Specialist education through Gentle Ventures (NCSA-Approved).
When she’s not working, Monique can be found dancing, swimming, creating art, and spending time with her loved ones outdoors.
