Bio:
Maile is fun, loving, and nurturing, and enjoys working with children. As a result, she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. Since 2008, Maile has cared for children ages newborn to 12 years. Moreover, Maile has worked at Ho’olauna Puna where she supervised a group of fifteen students on excursions around the island. Additionally, she served as a group leader for grades three to six at the YMCA A+ After School Program. Maile also worked at a daycare for two years caring for children ages a few months to 5 years and as a full-time assistant teacher in the toddler division of a Catholic Montessori school. Maile has also worked at the Pearl Harbor naval base child development center and currently employed at a Honolulu Christian preschool. On her days off, Maile enjoys soaking up the sun outdoors, swimming in the beautiful ocean, or creating arts and crafts. She is an avid hula dancer and deeply rooted in the Hawaiian culture and language. Her ultimate career goal is to eventually become a school teacher or open a daycare and early learning center someday.
